I really, really thought this was a photoshop the first time I saw it. It’s hard to photoshop real life, though. In person it’s somehow... less shocking? Maybe? Still, not a fan of the trend, any more than I am of the (for example) Nissan creases going every which way. I’m looking at you, Maxima.
